I am so excited to be a part of the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Strings again this year. I want to thank you for allowing me to have the scholarship this year. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in the group and to have Dr. Hofeldt as my conductor. I can hardly wait to get back to rehearsals!”  – Madeline Mobarry

Thank you for your very generous financial help. I am really excited to play with the DPYO this year, and your assistance helped make it possible. Thank you very much.”  – Kerstin Smith

Thank you so much for the summer camp tuition scholarship. I had an absolutely wonderful time at Suzuki Columbus Summer Institute. I was selected as principle second violin in the orchestra and had a delightful chamber quartet experience. I cannot wait for DPYO to start this fall. It will be a new experience for me. Thank you for your continued support.”  – Karina M. Beebe

Thank you for your generous donation! Your gift is largely appreciated and it will help me continue my musical career. I know that DPYO will be an enjoyable experience for me and you have helped to make it possible. Thank you for your support!”  – Andrew Wang

Thank you so much for my DPYO scholarship this year! It makes such a difference for me. I had a dynamic summer this year which included a trip to Eastman School of Music for three weeks where I studied violin and theory and music analysis and had voice lessons with Renee Fleming’s mother and a mock audition for Oleh Krysa. I made lifelong friends and found constant and lasting inspiration. I am so glad to be able to continue that with another fantastic year in DPYO! This orchestra is one of the highlights of my winter schedule; rehearsal is where I always want to be and I have made so much progress due to the wonderful environment DPYO creates for excellence and musicianship. Thank you! Have a great 2012-13 season!”  – Shelby Erin Moss

Thank you so much for the summer camp tuition scholarship. I really had a most excellent time playing violin at Suzuki Music Columbus Summer Institute. I really enjoyed my classes and teachers. I cannot believe it is almost August. Summer has just flown by. Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to play and have fun too!”  – Jonathan L. Beebe

Thank you for the generous amount of financial aid. I know I will enjoy playing in DPYO, and that it will be a very memorable experience for me. I really appreciate what you’ve done for me, and will continue to keep trying to improve my musical skills in the future.”  – Heather Wang
