DESIGNERS’ SHOW HOUSE & GARDENS 2007, PATTERSON-HAUER ESTATE, OPENS SUNDAY, MAY 6, AT NOON

 

The Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association (DPVA) opens the doors to the Designers’ Show House & Gardens 2007 at Noon on Sunday, May 6,2007

 

DAYTON, Ohio (April 30, 2007) – Patterson-Hauer Estate, major fundraiser to benefit the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra opens with fanfare as emcee WHIO TV Channel 7’s Letitia Perry, Don Patterson, Kettering Mayor and Neal Gittleman, Dayton Philharmonic Conductor welcome guests to the May 6 to May 25 Designers’ Show House & Gardens 2007. The Dixieland Jazz All Stars will open the ceremonies. Musicians performing include: Bryan Benedetti & Aaron Raleigh, guitar duo at 1:00 pm and Opus 4: Patricia Brooks, Mary Holman, Sheryl Mabry, Adele Richter, flute & piano at 2:30 pm. Jim Teske, Centerville Landscaping, will guide guests on a tour of grounds at 2:00 pm.

 

The Patterson-Hauer Estate: May 6 through May 25, 2007: Hours: Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays 11-4; Sundays Noon-4 and open late on Thursdays 11-8. 

 

Free parking and shuttle will be available from Sugar Camp, 101 W. Schantz Avenue.  No parking will be allowed on or around the Show House site due to parking restrictions.  Shuttle buses will run every fifteen minutes starting one-half hour prior to opening. The estimated tour time is one hour.

 

Advance ticket price is $12 at the following locations: AAA, Ashley’s Pastry Shop, Central Perc European Café, Dorothy Lane Markets, Elder-Beerman, Hauer Music, KeyBank: select locations, The Little Exchange, Siebenthaler’s, Thomasville of Dayton, Wasson Music, and Wright Patt Credit Union. Ticket prices are $15 at the shuttle and online at www.dpva.org.

Unlimited Visit tickets cost $25. 

An Edelweiss Evening: Saturday, May 5, 5:00 -11:30pm is the black tie Preview Party Gala unveiling the transformed house & gardens. Shuttles will escort guests to the home from Dayton Country Club and back for dinner and dancing to music by Laika. Reservations are required: patron tickets can be purchased by calling 224.3521 ext.134.
