SUMMER CAMP
INFORMATION SHEET
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage 10th
and 11th grade members of the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra to become
more proficient musicians, and thereby enrich the Dayton Philharmonic Youth
Orchestra. Awards will be made in accordance
with camp costs.
To be eligible, a student must be:
A.
An active member of the Dayton Philharmonic
Youth Orchestra.
B.
Currently enrolled in the 10th or 11th grade,
and
C. MUST audition for the Youth Orchestra
next year.
Camp awards will be made based on personal
statements, teacher recommendation, performance, and recommendation of the DPYO
director.
Scholarships must be used only for summer music camps.
Award checks will be made out to the camp. .
Summer camp work must
be on the instrument performed with the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
The scholarship decision is final and will be made by
the Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association Scholarship Committee.
