Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association
The Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association was created in 1952 with an on-going mission to support the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in the areas of education, promotion, fund raising and membership development. The current membership of the DPVA is 300 men and women, the largest volunteer organization to support the Dayton Philharmonic and the largest music education program in the United States.
You can find DPVA volunteers throughout the community in schools as docents, educating school children prior to attending Young People’s Concerts, ushering youth concerts, providing hospitality to musicians, collecting used instruments to be refurbished for Dayton Public School children and fund raising. This year we presented "10 Days of Design," which will fund our education programs and support the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. We have continued to post our landscapers' and designers' "Design Tips." A big thank you to our media partners WHIOTV, Dayton Daily News , and TDH-Marketing and to all of our sponsors, volunteers, designers, landscapers, musicians, boutique vendors, participants and visitors who have made it all happen to support the mission of the DPVA and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. Please support these businesses who are our partners and who give so much to our commmunity! Be sure to check out our photos of "10 Days of Design!" (btw, a pair of 3x reader glasses with skin type temples was left in the cafe...pls contact Bella Freeman 937.312.9960 to claim).
